I SOLD SMACK.
I started SMACK in 2015 with the initial goal of transitioning my solo-consulting practice into a digital agency built for 21st century marketing. Sometime that year, John James and I began talking about what it would look like to join forces and bring his background of customer acquisition and e-commerce together with my background of brand building and content development and point it at the new realities of the omnichannel retail world.
In early 2016, SMACK 2.0 was born and we began the journey that culminated with selling our company to Field Agent Inc at the end of 2018. SMACK has become Field Media and we are still leveraging the crowd-sourcing platform and audience of Field Agent to help brands sell more at retail.
I am very excited about the future there.
